MANAGING PANDEMIC STRESS 

  

We were all just minding our own business and wham! The pandemic took over our lives. We have become captivated, fearful, obsessed, and stressed. Will it ever end?

While we have little control over the events that occur around us, we do have a choice in how we act or react to the stresses that do come our way. Feeling stuck, worried, upset, angry, or restless are all normal reactions to stress.

In this short talk, Dr. Hoover will discuss these reactions to stress, the power of acceptance, and the possibility of entering a new space of choice in life. He will use the framework of the timeless Bhagavad Gita to help us reflect upon our current situation and empower each of us in this time of overwhelming stress. You will gain insight into how to shift from being a victim of stress or trying to wrestle control of the uncontrollable to connecting to that inner knowing where choice and freedom are always available to each of us.

Todd A. Hoover, MD (Vidyacharya) has practiced Family Medicine and Homeopathic Medicine for over thirty years. Now retired, he focuses his energies on spiritual growth through yoga under the grace and guidance of P.P. Swami Rajarshi Muni. Vidyacharya combines knowledge gained directly through many years of yoga practice and managing the challenges experienced by his patients.
